In San Diego, autumn doesn’t seem to kick in until the second week of October. Overnight, we seem to go from enjoying our tomato salads; racing local triathlons (however, I’m convinced that the water temperature stays the same year ’round); eating mountains of sweet corn and building fires on the beach to ogling the beautiful squashes, apples and pears at the farmers’ markets; wearing three layer ensembles and UGG boots to morning dog beach (is it really 53 degrees?) and transitioning from grilling to slow cooked meals.
