In San Diego, autumn doesn’t seem to kick in until the second week of October. Overnight, we seem to go from enjoying our tomato salads; racing local triathlons (however, I’m convinced that the water temperature stays the same year ’round); eating mountains of sweet corn and building fires on the beach to ogling the beautiful squashes, apples and pears at the farmers’ markets; wearing three layer ensembles and UGG boots to morning dog beach (is it really 53 degrees?) and transitioning from grilling to slow cooked meals.   Enjoy the latest shout out to the bounty of autumn as my friend Lynn Alley included our foodie conversation and recipe for a Foodsense, Now! pumpkin smoothie  in her most recent blog.
