#MBW (monster bike week)

Love this stuff....great in smoothies too

Love this stuff….great in smoothies too

400 Miles logged over seven days. For some of my uber biker friends, I know that is not super impressive; but I was certainly proud. Previous to this past week, the longest I had ever ridden in 7 days was 253 miles. Yay me!

7 Betty Designs kits worn. And a couple days with the vest. I did make the mistake of wearing tri shorts/bike top on one of the long days and let’s just say that is akin to wearing high heels to an all-day networking event. Save the tri shorts for short bike days and racing (duh)

37 super-fit, corrugated ab-type shirtless runners spotted (but who’s counting). Why do there seem to be more runners than ever on the 101 and 56 bike path? Oh wait, it’s because I’m injured.

4 times #dbj caused me to I flatted

21 Bonk Breaker bars consumed

Number of f-bombs used in place of proper english can’t count that high

120 Calories and 10% of Calcium in two large Medjool Dates I ate A LOT of these. Good to know that they are a good source of calcium

13 times I didn’t use a rest room. The grass is always greener and now we know why.  Restrooms are so overrated

2 Cups of Foot Cream squirted onto feet. My feet only. Yes, I decided that I would use this 30 hours on the bike to soften my heels, so I wore socks each day (I almost never wear socks) filled with copious amounts of cream. Said feet are now #likebuttah

Zero. Zilch. Nunca pounds lost. If you embark on an endeavor like this, don’t expect to lose weight. You need to eat and because I ate a lot, my energy levels stayed high

Scaled down my workouts today and I had a little extra time so decided to play around with some new energy bites. I scanned the pantry and saw that I was sitting on some Brazil nuts and a bag of Maca Powder…..hmmmmm. Both are high in Selenium and Maca, which has a taste akin to a powdered sweet potato, has been said to restore hormonal imbalance and improves libido can be a mood enhancer.

Now onto the big news of the day………I ran 9 minutes. It was the first time running since my PRP procedure 43 days ago. I alternated 3 minutes run; 2 minutes walk. It made me feel so fit and happy that I might as well have been standing on the podium in Kona.
