Shiitake Mushroom Jerky from Far West Fungi My love affair for All Things Shiitake continues. Two weeks ago, Farm Fresh To You featured this Jerky as an additional add-on. Since then, this toothsome, salty/slightly sweet hasn’t been available through them, but I’m sure that you can order some directly from FWF. Even the carnivores will love it. Haggo’s Organic Tacos This is the first time I’ve been to Haggo’s Tacos since they moved to a considerably bigger space in Leucadia. Haggo’s has a limited menu—limited to Tacos, Burritos, Quesadilla and Drinks. I had a vegan plate-GF plate of two most awesome Tacos, Organic Red Beans and Organic Brown Jasmine Rice. Make sure that you ask for extra sauce x 4. I suggested that we start and finish the next long ride out of the Haggo’s parking lot and then “recover” with soft tacos après cycle…….anyone in?
KeVita Master Brew Pineapple Peach Kombucha Just when I thought that GT Kombucha had commandeered the market (and my taste buds), I tried a bottle of this—tangy-sweet with subtle flavors of Peach and Pineapple. OH. SO. GOOD.

Oyster Night at #WFMDelMar A week without mentioning Whole Foods would be like a week without Kale. It’s not gonna happen. Last Friday, three of us had 48 Oysters and a couple of salads. Here’s the skinny on the Trifecta Tavern—you can buy a bottle of wine at retail inside, plop down on the patio and enjoy SANS corkage. Blue Points were the featured oysters. Besides the classic Cocktail sauce, the oysters also come with a Chipotle and Cilantro Mignonette sauces.
Vertical Herbs I saw this and smacked myself in the head—why am I NOT growing vertical herbs? I hate paying for small plastic packages of herbs. Found this down at The Curious Fork in Solana Beach. In/up/on it, the Mint, Verbena, Basil and Rosemary were flourishing……Next DIY project coming soon
