Coconut "Bacon"

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut flakes
  • 2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the coconut flakes, tamari or soy sauce, maple syrup, and liquid smoke. Toss well to coat the coconut.
  • Spread the coconut mixture evenly on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the coconut is golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on it to avoid burning.
  • Let it cool slightly before using it as a topping for your soup or adding to salads, tacos, or avocado toast!
